제5호 열대저압부는 29일 오전 9시경 중심기압 998헥토파스칼(hPa) 중심 부근 최대 풍속 초속 15ｍ(시속 54㎞)의 세력으로 서북서쪽 약 530km 부근 해상을 지나 시속 5km의 느린 속도로 북서진하고 있다.
제5호 열대저압부는 6월 30일 오전 9시경 중심기압 996헥토파스칼(hPa) 중심 부근 최대 풍속 초속 15ｍ(시속 54㎞) 강풍반경 270km의 태풍으로 발달해 필리핀 마닐라 서북서쪽 약 650km 부근 해상까지 접근해 북서진 할 것으로 전망된다.
제3호 태풍 차바(Chaba) 이후 약한 세력을 유지한 채 중국 잔장 해상을 따라 이동하다 7월 4일 오전 9시경 중국 잔장 북서쪽 약 200km 부근 육상에 상륙할 것으로 예상된다.
