고속도로에서 전기차, 수소차 충전이 더욱 편리해집니다

정부는 ‘2050 탄소중립’ 실현을 위해 ‘제4차 친환경 차동차 기본계획’ 등 친환경차 확산전략과 더불어, ‘국가 온실가스 감축목표(NDC) 상향 안’을 확정하면서 ’ 30년까지 전기·수소차 450만 대를 보급할 것이라고 발표한 바 있다. 

친환경차가 지속적으로 증가*함에 따라, 고속도로에서 충전시설을 이용하는 고객도 ’20년 기준 70만 명에서 올해는 872,351명으로 증가했으며(10월 기준), 연말까지는 약 100만 명 이상까지 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.

늘어나는 충전수요에 대응하고 보다 편리한 충전환경을 조성하기 위해 고속도로에도 전기차 충전기, 수소충전소 등 친환경차 충전시설을 지속적으로 확충하고 있다. 

(전기차 충전기) 고속도로에서 ’ 20년 말 435기 운영 중이었으나, 올해 대폭 확충되어 연말까지 730여 기가 구축·운영될 예정이며 내년에도 추가로 300기 이상이 구축될 예정이다. 

(수소충전소) 사업시행자 선정, 실시협약 체결 등의 절차를 통해 순차적으로 공사를 진행하여 고속도로에 현재 12기 운영 중인 수소충전소가 ’ 22년에는 43기, ’ 23년에는 52기 이상으로 늘어날 예정이다. 

한편, 한국도로공사는 고속도로에서 신·재생에너지 발전을 통해 생산되는 전력량을 점차 늘려가 ’ 25년을 기점으로 가로등, 터널 조명 등 고속도로에서 사용되는 전력량*을 초과 달성하는 ‘에너지 자립 고속도로’ 구현을 단계적으로 추진하고 있다.
* 700GWh(’25년) : 약 52만 명의 인구가 가정에서 1년간 사용할 수 있는 전력량

현재 고속도로 태양광 발전시설은 104MW가 운영 중이며, ‘고속도로 태양광 발전사업 공모’를 통해 ’ 23년까지 발전시설 76MW를 추가할 예정이다. 

또한, 태양광 발전보다 효율성이 높고 부지 소요가 적은 연료전지* 발전도 추진 중으로, ’25년까지 고속도로 유휴부지 3개소에 48MW 규모의 시설을 구축할 계획이다.
* 수소를 화학반응시켜 전기를 생산하는 장치로, 날씨의 영향을 받지 않아 태양광 발전에 비해 효율이 높으며, 소규모·분산형으로도 설치 가능

한편, 황성규 국토교통부 제2차관은 탄소중립주간(12.6~12.10)에 중부고속도로에 위치한 하남드림 수소충전소를 방문(12.6)하여, “충전 인프라 확충은 친환경차 보급의 선결조건이므로, 2050년 탄소중립 달성을 위해 전기·수소 등 충전 인프라를 지속적으로 확충하여 국민들이 친환경차를 원활하게 이용할 수 있도록 만들어나갈 것”이라고 밝힐 계획이다.

 

It's more convenient to charge electric and hydrogen cars on the highway.

The government announced that it will supply 4.5 million electric and hydrogen vehicles by 30 years, confirming the "National Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals (NDC)" along with strategies for spreading eco-friendly vehicles such as the "4th Basic Plan for Eco-friendly Cars." 

As eco-friendly cars continue to increase*, the number of customers using charging facilities on highways also increased from 700,000 as of 20 years to 872,351 this year (as of October) and is expected to increase to more than 1 million by the end of the year.

In order to cope with the increasing demand for charging and create a more convenient charging environment, eco-friendly vehicle charging facilities such as electric vehicle chargers and hydrogen charging stations are continuously expanding on highways. 

435 units were in operation on the highway (electric vehicle charger) at the end of 20, but more than 730 units will be built and operated by the end of the year, and more than 300 units will be built next year. 

Construction will be carried out sequentially through procedures such as selecting project implementers and signing implementation agreements, and the number of hydrogen charging stations currently operating 12 on the highway will increase to 43 in 22 and more than 52 in 23. 

Meanwhile, the Korea Expressway Corporation is gradually increasing the amount of electricity produced through new and renewable energy generation on highways and is gradually implementing an "energy independent highway" that exceeds the amount of electricity used on highways such as streetlights and tunnel lighting from 25.
* 700 GWh ('25 years): The amount of electricity that about 520,000 people can use for a year at home.

Currently, 104 MW of the highway solar power generation facility is in operation, and 76 MW of the power generation facility will be added by 23 years through the "Highway Solar Power Project Contest." 

In addition, fuel cell* power generation, which is more efficient than solar power generation and requires less land, is also being promoted, and plans to build 48MW facilities at three idle highway sites by '25.
* It is a device that generates electricity by chemically reacting hydrogen, and is more efficient than solar power generation because it is not affected by the weather, and can be installed on a small scale or dispersed type.

Meanwhile, Hwang Sung-kyu, the second vice minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, visited the Hanam Dream hydrogen charging station located on the Jungbu Expressway (12.6) during the carbon neutral week (12.6) and said, "Since the expansion of charging infrastructure is a prerequisite for the supply of eco-friendly cars in 2050.
